Why HEINEKEN?

There has never been a more exciting time to join our site in Manchester. We are firmly planted in the community thanks to a number of investments in the site over the past few years, totalling more than £70 Million. Our brewery remains a pivotal part of our UK supply chain network, producing around 5 million hectolitres per year of Foster's, Kronenbourg 1664 – and, more recently – Heineken. We're delighted to have been given the quality seal of approval from Amsterdam to make Heineken on our site – and as a bonus, we're making our carbon footprint smaller in the process.

What's the role?

Our packaging teams at Manchester are first-rate; covering 2 high-speed canning lines (rated at 90,000 cans per hour) and a high-speed kegging line (900 kegs per hour). As a Shift Manager, you will be leading a shift of 15 on one of these lines to deliver the packaging KPI targets for the department. With the roles main focus on safety, you will need a continuous improvement mindset that will help us drive our continuous improvement methodologies (we use TPM) throughout our culture, creating a high-performance environment.

What are we looking for?

As we increase the complexity of our products, we also increase the expectations of our People Managers. You will be the leader we're looking for, self-motivated and positive, ready to engage and lead a team of experienced technical operators, ensuring they have the right skills, behaviours, development and support to deliver exceptional operational results.

We are looking for inspirational leaders with previous experience in high-speed packaging lines, however, this is a people manager role and requires an individual who exhibits the behaviours outlined in our Leadership Expectations:

Connect – Getting the best out of people through a positive, engaging and authentic style

Shape – We focus on lean (we use TPM methodology) and your proven continuous improvement mindset will lead the way

Develop – You'll create an environment that truly drives high performance through effective performance management and development planning (we will support you on your own development in this area)

Deliver – Getting results through your team

What do we offer?

Along with your salary and shift allowance, we offer an award-winning double matched pension (up to 10% from HEINEKEN), a performance bonus, a free on-site gym, private health insurance, subsidised on-site canteen facilities, a case of our delicious products every month (can be accrued) plus a number of other perks included in your package.

PRIDE IN WHO WE ARE, PASSION FOR WHAT WE DO
