Location: Manchester, England

Company: Heineken

Material Scheduler

Function: Brewing Operations
Location: Manchester
Salary: £22,800 - £28,500 base plus great package

Why join HEINEKEN?

There has never been a more exciting time to join our Manchester Brewery. We are firmly planted in the community thanks to a number of investments in the site over the past few years, totalling more than £70 Million. Our brewery remains a pivotal part of our UK supply chain network, producing around five million hectolitres per year of Foster's, Kronenbourg 1664 – and, more recently – Heineken®. We're delighted to have been given the quality seal of approval from our Amsterdam Head Office to brew Heineken on our site – and as a bonus, we're making our carbon footprint smaller in the process.

What's the role?

As the Materials Scheduler, you will be reporting to the Site Logistics Manager and supporting the Scheduling team to deliver a comprehensive production planning service. This means relying on your experience of scheduling production material deliveries for Brewing (preferably), Process and Packaging in a manner that meets supplier order lead-times, HEINEKEN Procurement criteria and allows dependent production activity to hit or exceed Heineken's Conformance to Schedule targets

It's all about you and the scheduling team hitting the ‘sweet spot' between material availability, storage space and working capital value.

With our Heineken Behaviours as your guidelines, we'd love you to take our very complex supply planning process and use your analytical and problem-solving skills to "Keep It Simple"! This means constantly managing information flows with stakeholders and using your listening and communications skills to build strong relationships across functions. These relationships will result in more open conversations when we are all under pressure, allowing you to be an effective key driver in the scheduling process.

What are we looking for?

From a technical knowledge we are looking for someone with advanced spreadsheet skills and experience in using Infor AS & SAP (APO) If you had other experience in other Manufacturing and or Supply Chain Operations (e.g. Purchasing, Technical or Logistics) within a complex supply chain environment, we are always looking to build on our processes and bringing the outside in.

What do we offer?

Along with your salary, we offer an award-winning double matched pension (up to 10% from HEINEKEN), a discretionary performance bonus, private health insurance, a free on-site gym, subsidised on-site canteen facilities, a case of our delicious products every month (can be accrued) plus a number of other perks included in your package.
